New Sametime Chat Client and Configuration for SAMLNew rich client for Chat enhanced for SAMLIf your organization uses federated identity management handled by Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), you can now download and chat using a stand-alone Sametime Connect client and log in with your organization's authentication credentials.
This enhancement requires an updated Sametime client (first available in January 2014) and is specific to clients with Federated Login setup using SAML. If your organization isn't using Federated Identity with SmartCloud for Social Business there is no need to take any action.
This capability is available for SmartCloud Engage Standard, SmartCloud Engage Advanced, SmartCloud Connections, and SmartCloud Notes subscriptions.
Administrators can configure Sametime Rich Client for SAMLIf your users log in with your organization's credentials and use SAML token authentication for federated identity management, then you can create a pre-configured Sametime Connect client that you can deploy to subscribers. SAML support in the stand-alone rich client supports the form-based user/password login type.
This feature is available for Administrators for Engage Standard, Engage Advanced, SmartCloud Connections, and SmartCloud Notes subscriptions.
